I have two miniature schnauzers who hate my hams, gerbils, and rabbit. But, they can all be kept together stress free. I would recommend keeping your hamsters cage and your dog in separate rooms to prevent stress on your hamster, and to help the dog not be so crazed trying to get at the little guy. Terriers are bred to hunt vermin and hamsters fall under the category of vermin and thus are often viewed as prey by all dogs, but especially small terriers. Keep them separate but don't stress too much. Best wishes
