Chesca! Definitely a good video for taming, I think often people are more visual and find watching something makes it clearer than just reading about it. I ended up sending her some links for where to buy appropriate stuff and also suggested she watch ErinsAnimals' hamster care videos on youtube - I've personally found them to be extremely helpful as well.

I did spend some time looking online for a general care guide for hamsters but every time I read through one I'd find at least 2 great big mistakes even from very reputable animal welfare sources. The Blue Cross one even goes on about how hamster's hibernate and to just leave out extra food and water for them
