Thought I'd give a little update on Jaska. He's still very skittish and runs away when we walk in the room sadly but he usually comes back now. Think the idea of getting a treat is outweighing the need to run lol. He's very delicate and still so tiny. His paws touch your hands very gently when he is climbing on for a seed, even had him climb up my arm one day and another day he went in my sleeve! Though it didn't take long for him to decide neither was a good idea and he quickly ran back in to the safety of his cage.
We got him one of those festive rolls from rodipet and he loves it. I'll frequently find him looking like a car mechanic under a car with his little back paws flailing around while he gets stuck into nibbling the roll
He doesn't use either of his wheels (he has a traditional upright wheel also along with the saucer one). Not sure if he's maybe not one for wheels. He uses the flying saucer wheel as a plate for his food :P
