Maybe it's this time of the year. Blacky is a little bit shy this days too.

Don't you use wallapop where you live? (or something like that). Maybe you can search there a temporary barred cage, smaller than usual, here they sell really cheap cages (for 8 euros or so), so it's not a big investment, and when he's tame you can upgrade it and just throw to the bin the smaller one if you want to.
