The only thing I was thinking is, a small amount of cinnamon could be a very large amount for a hammy and may have been a bit strong for him. It's always hard to know whether they're having fun or a bit stressed or something bothering them, when having these mad moments. Maybe best to stick to hammy treats in future! A piece of cheese usually goes down well!
