Default Re: Trixie wheel question

As cypher said, It won't work properly and it could be dangerous.

I have that wheel. One day my ham decided that his wheel would be an excellent place to hoard his food, and his tank is in my room, so you can imagine how difficult it was for me to sleep with the wheel rattling all the time with the food inside it. I thought that without the front part, the food will come out of the wheel by itself if he place it there, so I removed the front part, and as soon as I did it I realized that without it the wheel bends easily, but more over, and more important, the edges of the wheel are too sharp and it could hurt the ham, so I quickly put it back. You can try to remove the wheel every time you catch him doing it (that's what I did and the second time that I did it he learnt that the wheel wasn't a good place to hoard), and then place it back. Maybe he'll catch the idea that he can't do that, but if he continues with that habit, you should think about buying another one as suggested before.
