Burgess is certainly not boring.It has far more variety than Oxbow,since Oxbow is entirely pellet based.It also has no added sugars or harmful preservatives,and the ingredients are entirely appropriate unlike a lot of foods in the US which have things like hay which are completely inappropriate for hamsters.

If nothing else Higgins do have one diabetic hamster friendly food,however to make that food suitable you'd have to use it with Mazuri Rat and Mouse lab blocks which do have a small amount of added sugar(although it is natural sugar).Higgins isn't too hard to find,while Mazuri may not be sold in all Petco stores so that might have to be ordered online anyways which does add shipping to the cost just as you'd have to pay for shipping for Burgess food.
