Thanks everyone. It is mostly patience and trusting each other. I think I am just as jumpy as he is XD. I am not sure how old he is, he does look younger than any other hamster I have owned. But I have only ever owned second-hand hamsters. I take in animals when people I know get tired of them. that is how I got my birds, my last few hamsters, and my gerbil.
