You can get 1/2 inch mesh at Home Depot which would be fine for a Syrian

It's around $13-16 but you get a very good sized roll for the price(could make several bins and connect them directly by the side,therefore making it possible to have a much better cage).

Get the bins in a case of 4.You can connect them directly by sides and this will make a square meter cage possible,in fact it would be over a square meter!Four bins of that size directly connected give 2458.5876 square inches of space,which is very good.However three bins would be good too,giving 1843.9407 square inches of floor space as long as they're connected directly.You could still get the 4 pack and make one a travel cage though

Can you move things around or try and fit 3 bins somewhere?It would be a very good price for such a large cage,but that only applies to several bins and not just one bin.
