Default Re: Color in Chinese's Food? Good or Bad?

Mine have not been keen on the alfalfa pellets to the point where some of them have refused to eat them so in my experience either adding alfalfa to a mix or buying one with a large percentage of it is likely to result in a fair bit of wastage.

My Chineseys enjoy seeds and these are usually the first things they'll pick out. Unfortunately they can be fattening if fed in excess but the amount in most commercial mixes is unlikely to cause a problem.

Chinese hamsters are one of the species prone to diabetes but unless you have a diabetic hamster, removing any part of the mix is not recommended.

Where in the world are you located? In the UK, Burgess Dwarf tends to be a recommended option but I'm not sure on brands outside of the UK.

Welcome to Hamster Central by the way!
