Default Re: What type of food should I get?

I would try Harry Hamster. Most Hamsters seem to like it, it has all the nutrients, no sugars and the pieces are a good size for a Syrian. It's the only one ours would eat all of. It is slightly low on protein for a young hamster so could do with supplementing the protein by giving some fresh food - the occasional piece of cheese, or plain cooked chicken, scrambled egg, pecan nut, brazil nut etc - they are all protein foods, but the nuts and cheese maybe only once or twice a week. Chicken when you can. They love any fresh food anyway. It's also good to give fresh veg every 2 or 3 days. Broccoli, carrot, cauliflower, cucumber, are all fine - just a very small piece, like a tiny floret of broccoli or a 1 cm cubed size piece of veg.

Harry Hamster used to be Supreme Harry Hamster but it's called Tiny Friends Harry Hamster now - I think it's available in most countries. Hazel Hamster is the US version and it's the same formula.
