I've never had a pair of any dwarf hams, I find even the thought of it too stressful lol! so I can't answer your poll question but I think what you have to bear in mind is that there's never any guarantees so would you be just as happy to have two robos living separately as that may well be what you end up with!
How best to stop them falling out seems to be a bit of a controversial issue on here with many people saying have them in a really big cage with lots of toys while others (those with more experience maybe) saying a small cage with few toys stands a better chance.
I'm sure it must be lovely to have a pair living happily together so if you do choose to give it a go I hope it works out well for you & them
