I have this with my Robos
One of them is absolutely fine in a hamster ball, the other (the female, and she is a lot smaller than my boy) I noticed the first time I put her in it that her feet are small enough to fall through the ventilation slots! (It is a "hamster" ball rather than a dwarf one though, dwarf ones have smaller ventilation slots.) Though the Robos aren't particularly keen on balls anyway, the girl hasn't been in one since that first time and the boy only ever goes in when his cage is getting cleaned out, because it's either that or put him in a carrier and he likes that even less.
The Syrians on the other hand love their balls, will actually still roll around in their balls even if I've left the door off
and have never got injured from it
