I don't think the skins are poisonous exactly, its more whether or not the almonds have been sprayed with anything. Though if its in a toy I would assume the nut would be thoroughly cleaned first. Store bought almonds I would remove the skins I think. I read someone's review about the colored wood staining their rabbit's tongue :/
