Reducing them can sound a bit confusing. I have a program that shrinks the photo file size but when I uploaded the shrunk photos to photobucket they still used to post too big - so there's actually no need to shrink the photos to a smaller file size to upload them to photobucket, but once on photobucket you need to use the 'resizing' tool and put 700 in the left hand box (the right box adusts automatically), then apply and save and it saves the photo to the right physical size to fit on the forum pages. You then end up with two copies of the same photo and have to check which is the resized one sometimes! It has a string of letters and numbers as a name instead of the original file name, so that helps spot them.
