So glad you found him asherah. If you have a bath can you put the plug in and place the cage in it. That way if he does get out he won;t get far! Just shut the bathroom door. Even a large box should contain him if he gets out the cage till you sort something out. I cant see the pic but any gaps need securing or you could return the cage and say it is not fir for purpose and get a tank type. Is he a syrian or a dwarf?
