I have plenty of toys so can easily change things around that aren't being used. I agree with you on the plastic dish was only put there to show scale really. All my rodents have ceramic dishes because they are easier for them to use and easier to clean. My mouse has a dish that's lower so it's easier for him to reach his food but haven't found one this size yet for my new ham. Pet shops don't sell things like this so have to scout the charity shops
