Do you have a close family member who may take over any care duties of the hamster without being too hands-on? How does your health affect you in respect of spot cleaning and replacing water and food? Or are you worried that you may have to medicate her at some point and you don`t have the energy to cope with that? Albeit, that may not ever happen anyway, but given her age now, chances are she will be happy enough sleeping and doing her thing. If you can manage the basics, I would think about keeping her for what time she has left unless you can`t actually do physical tasks. x
