I used iMovie on mac. I got it for free and I just started from there. Mostly I just looked up information online on how to use it, and then messed around for a long time until I knew more or less how to edit videos! Then I started making videos
I say just go for it! The only way to learn is to start. You may feel like deleting some of your older videos when you are more proficient in editing, which you can always do later if you choose. Just go for it!!
