Hello,
I noticed my syrian's ears are black around the edges. I did some searching, and ear mites seem to be most common response. They look almost exactly like this picture at the top of
this article, but the insides of his ears look pink like they normally do. There aren't any little black dots on the inside like in the pic.
We did have a VERY cold spell for a while, and my apartment isn't the warmest, so I'm wondering if frost bite is a thing that could happen to hamsters? In my searching I didn't really see anything saying yes.
Any help would be appreciated. He's eating and is active like normal.
