Good to hear they're both settling down happily now.
Some people find their hams are fine sharing toys in the playpen or wherever you put them for out of cage time, as it's not their territory in the way the cage is they may well be fine, some are more sensitive to the scent of another ham than others though so you may just need to try them out & see how it goes.
