The holes we are cutting with a drill (to start the hole) then a hand saw. If that does not work, we're using a soldering iron.
We haven't used a bin cage before, but most hamsters love them. If you're close to us, I can help you out as well, since we'll be binning cages this weekend.

I've heard you should use heat to cut the holes but I don't have anything like that so I'll have to figure something out...
