That's what I do Souffle. When I go to the grocery store, they let me take as much of the veggies that's none sellable, for my hammy's.. It's basically, scraps, of this and that, but it's fresh, and not a ton, that goes to waste. I've tried freezing broccoli and maybe I didn't dry it off, too good, but mine was a bit "soggy" after it defrosted.
Emsy, I'm no sure if where you are, there's "farmers markets"? Here they are privately owned, and I've gotten the one down my street to save what they can't sell, and will be thrown away.
