I don't have any advice on the wounds other then what you've already been told. As food I've always bought a low fat rat mix. I would suggest no higher then 18% protein and 12% fat. I have also fed a lab chow block. Small amounts of seed and grains and some meat every couple days. I have found that mice become fat very easily. Good luck with your little guy. Sounds like a fighter!
