It`s so easy to fall for a hammy so I don`t blame you for that! But....and here is the main thing. Vet bills. Who would be responsible for those if any of the hamsters required Baytril or other treatments? Cost of transport there and back, unless your parents already have a car. The cages, accessories and food and quality time are necessities, but so too is funding for emergencies. Some parents are willing to allow any amount of pets, but not so much when the animal becomes poorly or injured and they suddenly see pound signs rather than the suffering. So I would be questioning this before adding to your numbers, just to be sure. Unless of course you pay for these yourself?
Just mentioning this in case it was something that might not be in the calculations, but if it is, then a third hamster shouldn`t be a problem, so hope you can get him. x
