I don't think you are being selfish at all! Your OH is right with saying that...if it's meant to be, it will be, and no doubt a little furry will come along and you will know what the right decision is.
It's always so hard losing a much loved little one...she will never be replaced even if another hamster is in her tank, but don't rush yourself into anything because it's the last thing you need at this time x
