But then do you want your hamster`s mouth being acidified by bitter lemon or apple? If the chewing continues, this stuff could harm the hamsters delicate skin on the side of the mouth. I would go with the threaded cardboard strips or actually cable-tie boards inside the bars where the hamster chews?
