I've found, with rodents anyway, that anti-bite spray is just spice to them. I really do like big aquariums, as gerbil homes anyway, haven't kept a hamster in one. They're easy to disinfect and give an excellent view of the pets inside. Only problem is they're heavy. There's one I've seen on here that looks really good that's made of plexiglass. It's huge and has wood accents. Maybe that would work for you?
