Hair loss on chest?
So I was watching Holly waddling about her tank, and when she meerkatted, I noticed that the hair on her chest was very sparse and her skin was quite visible. She seems healthy otherwise, and is bright eyed, and perky when she is awake.
Now, I know from reading other posts that sometimes older hams can bald a little. Is that the case with her? She is roughly 1 and a half to 2 years old by now, depending on how old she was when I got her from Petco.
I should also note that her bedding has always been Carefresh Ultra, and that I clean it out roughly every 2-3 weeks depending on how much her tank needs cleaning. Would the bedding be causing her to loose hair? I wouldn't think so, being that its paper based. However, I cleaned it all out and put fresh, clean Carefresh Ultra in there, in case it had something to do with her waste.
