Default Re: Should i buy pet hamsters from pet stores?

All my hamsters in my many years of ham keeping, bar the last year have been from pet shops, so dont feel they are like the plague and must be avoided.

I would recommend breeder hamsters, as they are handled so much more, and their line is checked for health issues so you know you will get a healthy hamster.

I havent got a hamster from a rescue before, but I have heard many storys of how the hamsters have grown in personality and come out of their shell once they get home and settled.

I would get ww/rc from breeders as the health worries with hybrids is too much, robos and chinese dont have as many health issues, and those that they have are the same from either, so I get my chinese from pet shops normally, tho I would have a breeder one if I was going where there was some.

hope this helps!
