Awww this made me cry because I was so relieved to hear he recovered and then I saw the dates. I'm glad he recovered though, and absolutely fair play to the company for paying the vet bills, you certainly wouldn't get that here.

It's definitely very important to keep highlighting the dangers of not just fluffy bedding, but of taking packaging at it's word without researching - just because a package says its contents are safe and suitable for all hams does NOT mean it's the case! I myself didn't know until my most recent ham that this type of bedding is unsafe, and luckily I never had any problems, but I use toilet paper now!
