The can get diaorrhoea sometimes though and this can be due to food change or too much veggies.
The scent glad in a dwarf is on the tummy - in about the tummy button position. It is not very noticeable in females but in males it can be quite yellowish and raised and stain the fur. Scent glands can get infected so need watching closely.
The dwarfs and 'fancy dwarfs' (which I guess means he has a specific colouring?) can be prone to diabetes and this makes them drink and wee a lot so you could be smelling the urine which has a strong smell. She may just be settling in thogh and perhaps weeing in bed and sleeping in it!
There is an article in the WIKI about testing and diet modification if your hammy tests positive.
Oh wow, I thought for sure it was wet tail...thank you for correcting that.

thank you very much for telling me all this helpful info. ^u^
..and also where a dwarfs scent gland is.

I'm not quite sure of the difference between the two dwarves, I guess it is a different coat, the 'campells dwarf hamsters at out pet store all have about the same coat...while the 'fancy dwarves' have many different colorations.
Though, I'm not very sure.. XP

Again, thank you so much!
